Anne Haile is a licensed Physical Therapist for more than 20 years. She specializes in treating patients with chronic pain, fibromyalgia, myofascial pain syndrome, temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ), headaches, neck pain, rotator cuff problems, low back pain (including SI dysfunction and pain during pregnancy) and a variety of other pain related conditions. Her philosophy of treatment is to consider the whole body and whole person, to help assess possible underlying causes and to educate the patient in exercises and modifications of posture and life style, while involving the patient in the therapeutic process.
Anne has developed a hands-on style through a myriad of continuing education courses that requires full attention on the patient during treatment. Mrs. Haile has attended all the courses of the Janet Travell, MD Seminar Series, including Trigger Point Needling, and many courses on gentle techniques such as Craniosacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, and other similar manual therapies. She has found these techniques to be most helpful for those with severe and chronic pain, when more traditional physical therapy techniques only serve to exacerbate the pain. These gentle techniques focusing on the total body are also helpful during pregnancy as well. Mrs. Haile has also attended classes on Women’s Health and has helped many women get through pregnancy with less or no back pain.
Anne has become an expert in orthotics through education, experience and many hours spent fabricating custom orthotics. She has been fabricating custom orthotics in her clinic for over a decade, which has served to alleviate foot, ankle, knee, hip and low back pain for many patients.
Anne is the owner of our affiliate office, Anne Arundel Physiocare, in Annapolis, Maryland.
In her spare time, she sings in her church choir, is involved in pastoral care at her church, loves hiking and skiing with her husband and two children, and has become an expert taxi driver for those two busy kids.
