Switzerland born, Ann Marie Hanson is a licensed Physical Therapist with over 25 years experience in cross-cultural, cross generational treatment and management of patients and families across the continuum of care including intensive, acute and sub-acute, home health and outpatient environments. Ann Marie’s areas of interest are maintaining balance and coordination, remediation of weakness, managing pain in the musculoskeletal system (low back, neck, joint and muscle), and total joint rehabilitation.
A graduate of Howard University’s Physical Therapy program, Ann Marie’s practice philosophy is one of identifying goals with the patient, educating the patient and family on possibilities inherent in their goals and coaching and mentoring both patient and family into attaining and maintaining the goals.
Internationally traveled and fluent in Spanish and English, Ann Marie is currently licensed in the District of Columbia and Maryland. Also, she has practiced in the states of Texas and South Carolina.
Ann Marie is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and is NDT certified, a treatment used for stroke and other neuromuscular rehabilitation. She has completed all courses of the Myopain Seminars program.
