Chronic Prostatitis Treatment from Bethesda Physiocare®

Many men are diagnosed with chronic prostatitis, yet there is rarely any evidence of bacterial infection or markers of typical inflammation. Symptoms include sexual dysfunction, post-ejaculatory pain, pain with urination, penile/genital aching and difficulty with prolonged sitting. The vast majority of these cases involve dysfunctional muscles in the pelvic floor and surrounding areas. Our Men’s Health program is designed to identify and treat the root causes of chronic prostatitis.

Peyronie’s Disease: How Our Physical Therapists can Help

Peyronie’s Disease causes an excessive curvature of an erect penis as a result of plaque formations. Plaque formation can be related to sexual trauma, though others are genetically predisposed to the disorder. Treatment of Peyronie’s Disease can involve dynamic splinting techniques as well as a specialized ultrasound protocol designed to remodel the tissues in the penis.
